Five Things You Can Start Doing Today to Transform Your Life

cREATE THE LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS

How to have the ultimate glow up in just 6 months to 1 year

Feeling trapped in an endless cycle of bad habits and poor decisions? If life isn’t as fulfilling as it once was and you’re sensing it’s time for a change, you’re not alone. Here are 5 things you can start doing today for the ultimate glow-up in just 6 months to a year!

A lot of times, creating the life of our dreams is just a pen and paper away. We often talk about wanting to make a change, but we seldom take the time to sit down and define what that change looks like for us. Without this clarity, how can we know if our dreams are attainable? It’s crucial to outline the steps you need to take in order to achieve your goals.

This problem persists because many people don’t realize that the process can be that simple. Everything I have manifested in my life started with putting my desires down on paper and clarifying them. As Habakkuk 2:2 states, “And the LORD answered me, and said, ‘Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.’” God wants us to articulate our heart’s desires, and if they align with His will, we shall receive them. But first, we must create a clear vision of what we truly want, and the Lord will use the universe to work in our favor.

Create a Daily Morning & Night Routine

A daily routine is so important for transforming your life. You have to consistently do something in order for it to stick and for you to see results. Believe it or not your current daily habits and routine has created the life you live right now, rather you are happy with that life or not. You put yourself in this predicament from the things that you choose to do daily.

Creating a morning routine can look like waking up 1-2 hours before work to have time to workout, meditate, bible study, show gratitude, and put yourself together for the day. I’m a firm believer in if you look good, you feel good. Rolling out of bed just 10 minutes before you need to log in or leave the house will throw you into a frenzy and make it feel like your life is all about work, leaving you no time for yourself. By waking up earlier and dedicating the first 2 hours of the day to your mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being, you’ll set the tone for the day on a positive note which would result in a more productive and fulfilled day!

A night routine could involve setting an alarm to wind down at a specific time. For example, if you want to sleep by 9:30 PM and read instead of scrolling on your phone, set an alarm for 8:00 PM. Use that time to tidy up, take a shower, do your skincare, put on cozy pajamas, and get into bed by 9:00 PM to read for 30 minutes. This sets the tone for the next day and helps you avoid a rushed morning.

Create a Fitness Routine

Movement is so important! Beyond just physical appearance, working out offers numerous health benefits. It boosts energy, helps with stress management, improves sleep, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes. Everyone should prioritize working out. Just 30 minutes a day can give you the energy to tackle tasks you’ve been procrastinating on. A fitness routine also helps develop discipline, which is essential for creating your dream life—I’ll expand on that in a separate post.

Start with a simple workout routine, like a 15-30 minute Pilates video on YouTube, walking, or strength training. Whatever feels right for you, the goal is to move your body more. You’ll feel better and gain energy that seems magical!

Block Out All Distractions

By blocking out unnecessary noise, you can hyper-focus on what truly deserves your attention. Distractions like social media, TV, drinking, and partying offer little value and waste energy that could be better spent on improving your life. Start with a social media fast for one day and see how much extra time you gain to work on something worthwhile, like developing a new skill, pursuing a hobby, or focusing on personal growth.

Have a Little Faith

No, A Lot of Faith! Let me share a little story with you. Just a year ago, I was jobless after being let go from a toxic work environment with an even more toxic boss. I had no idea what my next move would be—I just knew I didn’t want to return to that kind of negativity. It wasn’t until three months later that I finally made a decision about what I truly wanted. I wrote it down and meditated on it every single day as if it had already come to pass. In that moment, when I committed to writing it in the present tense, it became mine. Remarkably, less than two weeks later, my now incredible leader reached out to me on LinkedIn about a fully remote opportunity—the very thing I had written down in my prayer journal! When we spoke, I knew instantly that this was from God.

Faith is everything. When you live a life grounded in faith, unimaginable things can and will happen for you. You just have to believe it’s possible. As the Lord said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Luke 11:9)

So, decide what you want your life to look like, write it down, and wait patiently with unwavering faith that it is already yours. What dreams are you ready to manifest? Share your goals in the comments!
